Ashikaga Flower Park in Tochigi Prefecture is a magnificent place to witness the airy purple, mauve and delicate Fuji.Wisteria is called Fuji in Japanese and holds prevalence in Japanese tradition. It grows most commonly in vine form, producing lovely, fragrant flowers. 

The park has more than 350 fuji  flowers blooming in spring ranging in all shades of blue, lavender and red-violet. The most iconic displays are the Great Miracle Wisteria and the Wisteria Tunnel.

The Great Miracle Wisteria

Over 150 years old enormous tree located at the center of Ashikaga Flower Park. The gnarly branches create a huge umbrella of fuji flowers.

Wisteria Tunnel

A tunnel up to 80 meters long of white fuji flowers where visitors can walk through and admire it’s beauty.

Other picturesque spots at the park are the dome, pyramid, arch wisterias, pond and a waterfall.

Besides the fuji, visitors can also enjoy other flower attractions, restaurants and shop selling local products and plants.

9:00 to 18:00 (regular season) 
10:00 to 17:00 (off-season) 
Longer hours during the wisteria season.
